Jiyuwaza Katate Mochi Practice

  1. Pivot from Right foot forward hand on top
  2. Pivot from Right foot forward hand on underneath
  3. Pivot from Left foot
  4. Step in from Right foot forward and pivot from Left foot
  5. Step in from Left foot forward and pivot from Right foot forward hand on top
  6. Step in from Left foot forward and pivot from Right foot forward hand on underneath
  7. Walk from Left foot forward making Uke follow offered hand
  8. Step in from Right foot foward and walk making Uke follow offered hand
  9. Shift from Right foot forward Kamae before hand's taken
  10. Step back from Left foot forward Kamae and shift back before hand's taken
  11. Step into Uke's side going under Uke's arm
  12. Step aside then into Uke's side going under Uke's arm
  13. Step into Uke's side going outer Uke's arm
  14. Step aside then into Uke's side going outer Uke's arm
  15. Cut down Uke's hand and Pivot with Left foot foward
  16. Step in from Right foot forward and Cut down Uke's hand and Pivot with Left foot forward
  17. Push Uke aside and walk away

So many patterns to start Jiyuwaza! Seeing Chris grinning during training was very unusual, and a bit scary. Somehow it makes me less uncomfortable seeing his "I will smash you down!" face which he keeps all the time.
